I got a new mobile phone this week, because my old one broke down. I have a really important exam on monday and I also started at my summer job, so there's not too much time left for crafting. Never the less, I couldn't resist making a cozy for my brand new phone. It's crocheted with those pillar thingies (I'm not sure what the correct word in English is) and some chain crochet woven in. The yarn is that embrodery floss I got from a trift store a while back. It took three hanks in three different colours. This was one of those projects where I did zero planning and then improvised as I went. I have crocheted some mobile phone cozies before for myself and my friends, but it's been a while and I don't have any of them left. It's been all warm and summery here. I got to wear a little dress today and went down to the riverbank to study for a while.

Minulla on uutuudenkarhea puhelin, koska vanha turjake hajosi lopullisesti. Maanantaina on hirveän tärkeä tentti ja olen aloitellut kesätyöpaikassakin, joten askartelulle jää vähemmän aikaa. En kuitenkaan voinut vastustaa ja tein uudelle luurilleni suojapussukan. Se on virkattu pylväillä ja sitten pujottelin niiden väleihin ketjuvirkkausta. Lankana on joku aika sitten kirpparilta ostamani muliinilanka. Pussukkaan meni kolme tokkaa. Tämä oli sellainen projekti jota suunnittelin ehkä kolme sekunttia ja improvisoin sitten mennessä loput. Olen virkannut muutama vuosi sitten useammankin kännykkäpussin itselle ja kavereille, mutta niitä ei taida enää olla tallella. Tänään on ollut hämmentävän kesäinen sää. Pistin päälle kesämekon, jalkaan kangastossut, hiuksiin rusetin ja lähdin jokirantaan lukemaan.

Mun virkkaussanastoni on tosi köyhä, ja kun luin ensin että "pujottelin niiden väleihin ketjuvirkkausta" niin en ollenkaan tajunnut... onneksi kuva kertoo kaiken. Hauska idea, ehkä kopioin! :-)
